PHP for data engineering? how many data transformation tools & ETL have PHP API? PHP for Data Science?) seriously? Looks like author thinks that Web-development is big area where Python is used ))

or scripts on PHP for anything? how many OS natively supports PHP?)

PHP will not be popular when Python just because Python has dozens of areas where it is used, not only Web Development. Take a look on vacancies where 'Python' is required.
